Join Clare from The Wise Old Owl for a fun and creative workshop where you will learn to make your
very own make-up bag. At this workshop you’ll be shown all the techniques and skills you need to
create a beautiful 20cm x 14cm x 7cm zipper pouch.
 
This workshop is ideal if you:

 Are comfortable using your own sewing machine
 Know how to change the presser foot
 Would like to learn a few more techniques and skills
 
You should bring to the workshop:

 Your own sewing machine (inc power cable and foot pedal)
 A reel of white or cream thread
 The basic presser foot and zipper foot for your machine
 A basic sewing kit – bobbin, seam ripper, scissors, a few pins
 
Materials provided at the workshop include:

 All fabrics, zipper, and wadding for the make-up pouch
 Fabric marker pen, clips, label, quilt stitching guide
 
During the workshop you’ll be shown how to:

 Create quilting lines in fabric
 Insert a zip
 Form box corners
 Put all the steps together to create your own zipper pouch
 
You’ll have a choice of outer fabrics to choose from including florals, spots, stripes and randoms!
You’ll also have a choice of zipper colour to choose from. If you would like to bring your own fabric,
this is not a problem, but please get in touch so that I can give you more details including
recommended fabric types, sizes and fusible fleece.
 
There also will be an opportunity for you to purchase make-up bag sewing kits, with everything needed for you to make more at home.
