Join us for this fun and creative workshop to learn the fundamentals of modern calligraphy using a dip pen and ink:

- how to prepare and insert the nib and how to hold the pen and set up space for comfort,

- the basic strokes that form letters,

- practise writing the alphabet,

- how to join letters to form words,

- trace over examples of words and phrases for various occasions before moving onto your final project writing your very own greeting card & gift tag

- how to make your own ink.

- 1-2-1 guidance throughout

All material is provided (workbook with practice sheets, dip pen with nib, ink, greeting card and gift tag) which you will take home to continue practising your new learned skill.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and doesn't require neat handwriting or drawing skills.

Tea, coffee and homemade cake provided to fuel your creativity!

If you need to cancel a workshop

We do not offer refunds however we are happy for you to transfer the ticket to someone else so that it can be used. Please advise us of any name changes in advance of the workshop.

If you contact us at least 7 days in advance of a workshop, then we can see if someone on the waiting list can attend in your place. In this instance we would offer you a full refund if someone on the waiting list takes your place.

Our right to cancel a workshop

On the very rare occasion that we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will give you as much notice as possible.

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum attendance number has not been reached.

If we cancel the workshop you will be offered a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot accept liability for travel or other consequential costs.
